Eleiko Weightlifting Level 1 Live Course Overview

Our two-day course is designed to upskill coaches in coaching techniques, technical movement, and programming for weightlifting. Participants will be introduced to essential weightlifting movements, including the snatch and clean & jerk, as well as front and overhead squats. Additionally, the course covers the fundamentals necessary to build basic weightlifting training programs and integrate weightlifting into traditional programming.

Key Learning Outcomes

During this course, you will:

  • Master Proper Lifting Technique: Utilize stance, grip, position, and action to instruct proper lifting techniques.
  • Identify and Correct Compensations: Uncover a simple framework to systematically spot, adjust, and correct lifting compensations.
  • Manipulate Program Variables: Learn how to adjust acute variables of a program to achieve desired outcomes.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Confidently and systematically progress novice or advanced lifters through weightlifting movements.
  • Practice various movement screens to determine an individual’s appropriate starting point.
  • Identify compensations and understand their impact on lifting mechanics.
