The AFAA Kickboxing: Skills and Drills is intended to provide instruction and guidelines for teaching a group exercise class using movements and activities that mimic punches, blocks, and kicks from the martial arts, boxing, and kickboxing. This outline is not intended to provide instruction in self-defense.

Course Content:
The movements and techniques have been modified to serve the purpose of providing a cardiovascular workout, while maintaining body alignment that is safe for the general population. The movements and techniques taught in this outline and in the workshop should not be considered to be effective for self-defense. Readers of this outline and participants of the workshop should not consider themselves trained in self-defense.
