With Advanced Training you’ll learn how to create that experience in every single class you deliver. \nWith Advanced Training you’ll learn how to bring out more of the authentic YOU in your classes\, by exploring the three dimensions of: Connect\, Educate and Motivate\, and how each element\, when blended together\, enhances the experience for both your participants and yourself. \nYou’ll also explore the process to transform from an Instructor into an accomplished Group Fitness Leader\, by understanding your WHY and your values; by learning how to lead from the front; by harnessing the essence of your program; and by understanding how to share that enjoyment we all feel when we are confident enough to own our space! \nYour Initial Training taught you amazing foundational tools; with Advanced Training\, you’ll step it up a level by learning how to self-review; by exploring why you do what you do; by identifying what you are doing well; and by examining areas for future development. Because it’s all about YOU and your development! \nOr you can click here to read more about the evolution of Advanced Training or to learn more see our FAQs. \nWhat to Expect from Les Mills ADVANCED TRAINING \nHere’s a quick overview of what you can expect: \nAdvanced Training is a two-day\, in-person training. \nSimilar to Days 1 and 2 of your Initial Training you’ll be allocated one track on the day of your training\, your Trainer and you will then work with this track over the course of Days 1 and 2 to identify how you can integrate the concepts discussed into your teaching. You will also reflect\, develop\, watch videos\, and gain incredible insights into how to deliver the experience in your classes; plus there is lots of time for reflection and self-assessment. \nAt the end of the training\, you will be given receive a certificate of Completion and an Advanced Training Development Plan for you to work on and used as a guide to continue achieving your Greatness as an Les Mills Instructor. \nWhether you’ve been teaching for 5 months or 25 years\, Advanced Training is the key to achieving your next stage of Instructor excellence. Not only will you improve your teaching skills\, motivation and outcomes\, but you’ll also take away skills that will positively impact your life outside the group fitness studio. \nIf you have any questions before attending Initial Training\, feel free to contact us at info@opstudiohk.com. \nSchedule\n\nDates:\n– April 11 & 12\, 2026\nTime:\n\n\n– Saturday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM\n– Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM\n\n\n\nAttendance Policy\n\n100% attendance is mandatory for the Initial Training module—no exceptions.\n\nPhysical Fitness Requirements\nOur Initial Training is designed to challenge you both physically and mentally\, encompassing practical and theoretical components. It is suitable for experienced fitness class participants who are in good mental health and physically fit. If you have concerns about your fitness level due to injury\, illness\, or pregnancy\, please consult your medical advisor before signing up. We may require clearance from a licensed medical professional\, and if health concerns arise\, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the training without a refund. However\, we may transfer your training to another date or program. \nWhat to Bring\nTo ensure a productive training experience\, please bring: \n\nYour Les Mills Release kit (saved on your electronic device)\nPen and paper for notes\nAn iPod or similar device to listen to your assigned tracks\nA laptop or tablet for reviewing tracks as homework\nSnacks and fluids to stay energized\nExtra clothes for comfort during workouts\n\nDigital Requirements\nFor online Initial Training\, a stable Internet connection is essential. We recommend joining from a laptop or PC. You will need to use your computer (or mobile device) microphone and camera throughout the training. Access your training release through Les Mills Connect or the Les Mills Releases App on any iOS or Android device\, and download the release for offline use for the best experience. \nPre-Training Work\nAt least 10 days prior to the training\, we will notify you when your training materials are available for download in Les Mills Connect. You’ll receive instructions on downloading music\, videos\, and choreography notes. Review the Instructor Handbook and other provided resources to familiarize yourself with the first three Key Elements: Choreography\, Technique\, and Coaching. \nPost-Training Work\nAfter training\, complete any post-training tasks and submit a video of your assigned track within one day. You’ll receive an email with a link to upload your video via Les Mills Connect. \nAssessment Video\nAttending Initial Training does not guarantee certification. After completing the training\, you must submit a video within 60 days demonstrating your ability to teach safely and effectively.
