How do you get access to the OPTIMA 2022 Conference?
Once registered, you will receive an e-mail directly from the host company with an access link to participate in the OPTIMA Virtual Conference. Please also check your SPAM box and if you have not received this communication, contact your education provider!
You registered for Optima 2022, what’s next?
An email confirmation from Pathable, NASM/AFAA’s virtual event platform, will be sent to you. This will include the next steps, such as accessing virtual events, setting up your user profile, registering for sessions, and more. This email will be sent closer to the event date.
How many CEUs can you earn at OPTIMA if you choose the CEU Pass?
NASM/AFAA anticipates attendees can earn up to 1.9 NASM CEUs / 19 AFAA CEUs at the OPTIMA Virtual Conference, depending on the sessions selected and attended, however this is subject to change. Every 60 minutes of instruction is awarded 0.1 NASM and 1.0 AFAA credits. The schedule will list CEU credits for each applicable session.
How do I earn CEUs at Optima?
To obtain CEUs at the Optima Virtual Conference, your entry and exit of each session you attend will be monitored. To receive CEU credit for each 60-minute session, attendees are required to remain in each session for at least 50 minutes.
Your entry in each session will need to occur no later than 5 minutes after the start of the session. At the end of each session, your exit will be determined by answering a short survey.
This process must be followed for sessions viewed during the conference, October 13-15, and when viewing the sessions using the video on-demand platform until December 22, 2022.
Please note: Each completed session is equivalent to 1 Credit hour (i.e. 0.1 NASM or 1.0 AFAA credits)
Will the CEUs earned at OPTIMA 2022 be applied, even when you are not done yet with CPT certification?
If you are not an existing certification holder at the time of the event, you will not earn any CEUs, nor can OPTIMA 2022 be retroactive applied once for a later-earned certification.
How do you get CEUs for the sessions you attend if you choose the CEU Pass?
At the end of each conference day, you will receive an email with a link to fill out the session surveys. When prompted, enter the email address that you used to register for the conference. The sessions you attended will be listed on the right-hand side of the screen. If the session name is red, it means you have not completed the survey. Click on the red session names to complete the survey. Once you have completed the surveys, you will see an option to download your certificate. This can either be printed immediately or saved to your computer to print later. You will have until the end of the day December 22nd (the of ON DEMAND ACCESS) to complete the surveys and download your certificate.
Is there an age requirement to attend/register?
You need to be at least 18 years of age to attend OPTIMA 2022.
